Be a Learn it in 5 Star Contributor

Learn it in 5 and Digital Classroom Strategies: the Learn it in 5 Blog are looking for contributors. Currently, there is no compensation for contributors (we will consider it in the future, though).

Contributors will be given video or content attribution with up to two links to the contributors' web sites or blogs.

How-to video Requirements

Screencasting software and excellent screencasting skills -- we only post the utmost quality.

We use Jing to record videos and produce them using Camtasia Studio. Contributors can produce a video with Jing or your preferred screencasting application and send an Mp4 file to us.We will then produce the video using Camtasia Studio.

Videos must be 5 minutes or less (up to 5 seconds long is acceptable).

Videos must be of the how-to variety and must be on a Web 2.0 or social media application that is not currently in our archives.

You may submit a video from a 3rd party, as long as it comes with an embed code, meaning we have the rights to republish it. 

Learn it in 5 editors reserve the right to reject any how-to video submission.

Blog post requirements

A blog post must be on an educational technology topic.

Blog posts must have a picture that is Creative Commons licensed or for which the blogger has acquired rights.

Blog posts should be 500 words or less.

Blog posts should be grammatically correct.

Blog posts may not be posted anywhere else on the Internet.

Quotes from other posts should not be longer than one paragraph and should contain appropriate attribution.

Learn it in 5 editors reserve the right to reject any submission. 

Submitting videos and/or blog posts

For videos: create your video and save it as an Mp4 file.

E-mail the Mp4 file, your full name and up to 2 desired web links to:    mark@thepaperlessclassroom.com.

For blog posts: write your post in a Word document, including the accompanying picture.

E-mail the document, your full name and up to 2 desired web links to: mark@thepaperlessclassroom.com.

Receipt, Review and Publication

When we receive  your how-to video and/or blog post, we will respond within 48 hours.

We will review your work for up to one week.

We will respond again with a link to your produced work or reason for rejection.
