How to easily create screen captures with Snagit

In the evolving world of education, there is a push toward the "flipped classroom," which means creating instructional videos that students can view at home, so more coaching can go on in the classroom later. Regardless of how you feel about the "flipped classroom" philosophy, Snagit makes screen capture and video creation and sharing easy for any teacher.

With Snagit, you can capture quick images of your computer screen and share them to various documents, such as Word or PowerPoint, or narrate the screens, while recording to create actual animated instruction. Snagit allows users to quickly share videos to Screencast and YouTube, where students and parents can view them later.

Unlike parent company TechSmith's less sophisticated screen capture tool, Jing, Snagit is not free, although there is a free trial available.

This how-to video demonstrates how to use the screen capture and video creation tool, Snagit.
